For some, becoming a surrogate comes from a desire to help, for others it is to be a part of something bigger, a journey to bring hopeful parents love that is one of a kind.

For first -time surrogate Savannah it was both.

“I decided to be a surrogate because there is nothing that compares to being a mother,” she said.

“Being a mom is the best thing in the world!”

Savannah has two daughters, ages seven and 13.

“I love the joy I get from watching them learn and grow along with all the unconditional love we have for each other,” she said.

“They are the best part of my life, they’re are my world.”

Savannah decided that she was done having children but wanted to be there for those struggling to make their dream of a family come true.

“Having a baby is such a blessing and I knew I wanted to be a part of helping a family have that experience that I love so much,” she said.

During her surrogacy journey Savannah had a strong support system.

“My family has been so supportive through my entire journey; going to doctor appointments with me and just being there every day throughout my pregnancy,” she said.

That support got even stronger on delivery day.

“The parents stayed by my side the entire time,” she said.

“I cannot even explain the happiness I felt from watching their excitement as their little one was getting ready to come into the world.”

Savannah gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

“Watching the parents cry tears of joy once he was born made my journey so special,” she said.

“It is a wonderful feeling to be able to be a surrogate and make a family complete.”

As for a second journey, Savannah says she would love to do it again as soon as she is ready.
