My first surrogacy experience was very rewarding, so my was looking forward to helping another couple.
I was matched by Expect Miracles with a couple that had tried for a long time to get pregnant.
After many failed attempts, including multiple IVF transfers, they turned to surrogacy.
I knew I wanted to help them and went in for testing.
Our transfer day was full of anticipation because they only had two embryos left.
We transferred the two embryos and hoped for the positive results.
Five weeks later I got double the good news: we were pregnant with twin boys!
I live in Alabama and the intended parents traveled out often for our OB appointments.
It was great to connect and watch them get more and more excited about meeting their boys.
Although carrying twins was very different than carrying just one, we were lucky and had a very easy pregnancy.
In December, I delivered the healthy beautiful baby boys.
The parents stayed for the holidays so we got to ring in the new year together and celebrate our miracle.
I also was able to provide breast milk to them while they were in town and afer they returned home.
It is wonderful to get updates on the family and see how the boys are growing big and strong.
Being a parent is the most important and most rewarding thing I have ever done; followed very closely by being a surrogate.
I feel so fortunate to have been chosen to help bring these amazing boys into the hearts and lives of their loving parents.
