“Becoming a surrogate has become one of the most important accomplishments in my life,” said Alicia.
In 2014, she gave birth to a baby girl and recalls the moment the mother and father held their baby for the first time.
“They cried, when I cried; laughed when I laughed, every moment of fear, relief and happiness, we shared together.”
This is the reason she is currently on her second Surrogacy Journey.
“I knew I wanted to do a second journey, specifically for a same sex couple this time around,” she said.
Alicia says her Intended Parents got the positive pregnancy news first.
“I was so excited the transfer was successful the first time, with my previous surrogacy it took a couple tries.”
The IP’s are expecting a baby boy in June.
Becoming a surrogate did not only have a positive emotional effect on Alicia, but has also impacted her education goals.
She has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree. She is interested in becoming a paralegal specializing in surrogacy work.
