Surrogacy is close to home for Rhiannon.

“My cousin and his husband had their daughter through surrogacy,” she said. “She is the most precious, perfect little blessing.”

Rhiannon says she is looking forward to helping a couple have that same blessing.

“I knew I wanted to be a surrogate when my son was born, having a child is the greatest gift.”

Rhiannon now has a two small children and teaches them that helping others and giving back is very important.

They volunteer at their local animal shelter and spend time with the animals waiting to find their forever homes.

“Last year for Valentines Day, we chose to spend the money that would’ve been spent on gifs, at the animal shelter and brought food and special treats,” she said.

“If I could adopt all the dogs I would in a heartbeat but since we can’t, I do my best to volunteer my time to show them all some love.”

Rhiannon has now found an even greater way to give back and, like other surrogates have said, she too was feeling those nerves before her skype call.

“Once we got talking everything went smoothly,” she said. “They are such a sweet couple, we were on the same page about everything and I can’t wait to carry for them.”

Rhiannon says she is looking forward to the entire journey, but seeing the couple hold their baby the first time is exciting to think about.

“Seeing the love they will instantly have for this tiny human, that will be very special.”
