You most likely have watched Tori share her surrogacy story in one of our EMS videos, wearing an inspirational transfer smiling ear to ear. That smile is genuine and shirt and she is truly dedicated to her surrogacy journey, even when it gets tough. Over this year her positivity has been tested. After a few failed transfers and a cancelled transfer, it was time to make some important decisions.
“I feel like I could write a novel on set backs by now…but what has kept me motivated, truly, is the end goal and support from the people closest to me.”
With support by her side and her own inner strength to guide her Tori says she is ready for a fresh start and decided re-matching was the best route to take.
“It’s hard knowing when to move on and not feel like you are letting someone down, but in the end, everyone was comfortable and happy with the decision.”
Tori says when she got an email about her potential new IP’s it really stood out to her.
“They had been in a similar (but reverse) situation to mine with a prior surrogate and I immediately felt like they would be a great fit, before even meeting them!”
When they did meet over skype, the feeling was mutual and it was a match!
She will be transferring later this month.
In typical Tori style, she is bringing that positivity we all know well… and most likely a very cool shirt!
“I am excited and have a great feeling about this upcoming transfer,” she said.
Being re-matched when you are pretty far along in the process can feel like a setback, but Tori shares some great advice on how to look at the situation.
“Consider what will be best for everyone and never feel guilty when it comes to moving forward.”
“You have already given your Intended Parents hope and their embryos a chance at life and you will not be letting anyone down by doing what feels right.”
