You would never know, Sara and Amy only had a few hours of sleep when they arrived in Los Angeles the day before their transfer. These ladies were full of excitement and couldn’t stop smiling.
Amy even left her purse and cellphone at the airport. But that didn’t faze her positive mood.
“I can’t believe my sister did that,” Sara said, laughing.
Luckily, her belongs were safe and everything was accounted for.
“My wonderful husband just had to drive back to get my purse,” said Amy.
Amy is a first-time Surrogate.
“It is so cool that my sister and I are transferring together,” she said.
“Sara is 100% my inspiration!”
Sara has been a surrogate before. She carried for her sister-in-law who was unable to conceive because of cancer treatments.
Her son is three-years-old now.
“Being a surrogate was the most amazing experience ever,” said Sara.
“It was the best feeling when I saw them holding their baby.”
Her experience was so rewarding that Sara came to Expect Miracles Surrogacy to help another family.
“My intended parents are so excited,” she said.
“We Facetime each other and my kids and husband are all part of the conversations.”
After being by her side for her first journey, and seeing how excited she was to start a second, Amy was ready to follow in her sister’s footsteps.
She couldn’t hold back the tears when she describes watching Sara’s first journey.
“She helped create a family and was part of this beautiful story.”
“I wanted to do the same.”
Amy had an instant connection with her Intended Parents.
“I remember getting off the skype call and my husband says: ‘I’m really excited for them!’”
“We were all on the same page.”
As with any journey, there can be delays or roadblocks along the way. Although Sara and Amy started their journeys together, they didn’t know if they would be transferring at the same time.
“Somehow it all worked out and we got the exciting news that our transfers would be on the same day,” said Amy.
“Having my sister here for support makes me stronger; plus, we have already been pregnant together twice”!
Since they only live a few miles apart that support is always close by.
“Bonus, we get to share maternity clothes and of course pig out together!”
